Many Tribes One Blood is also a community development firm. It is a branch of Mutamba Projects International (MPI) which provides service for empowerment and socioeconomic development. MPI is a social enterprise, founded in 2003, and formed to bridge and make possible resource exchanges between Africa and the rest of the world. It maintains a double bottom line organizational structure, and utilizes part of the commercial activities profits to promote social and economic causes. Proceeds from trading are deposited into the “Mutamba Fund”, and then invested in social businesses (e.g. through micro-credit), social projects, and long term asset creation.
The mission of Many Tribes One Blood is to create a platform to promote art and culture from Africa and the African Diaspora, to foster unity, and celebrate the African Heritage.
