Lucia Kudielela Fernandes, founder of Mutamba Projects International, has over 5 years of experience in project management, organizational development, and Consulting Liaison. Before launching the complete MPI business operation, Lucia worked in a variety of management roles at not-for-profit and for-profit organizations. As the general executive of MPI, Lucia has consulted for, and provided services to many professionals and organizations. she has worked with industries including Real Estate, Transportation, Retail, International Business, Finance, Not-for-Profits, Trade, Professional Services, Entertainment, Government, Import /Export, and Education.
Her formal education is in Liberal Studies with concentrations in information systems, philosophical studies, and organizational communication, obtained at Morris Brown College and Mercer University in Atlanta, GA. She has been a member and director of more than eight community organizations since 1995; for example, as the former president of ASSANGA (Association of Angolans in Georgia), secretary of AAGA (African Association of Georgia), and Vice President of ACCAO (Association Comunidade Capoeira Angola Opus).
Lucia founded an Arts & Cultural Enterprise in New York City in 2011, called Many Tribes One Blood. She has organized introductory art exhibitions at alternative spaces in NYC. In addition, she has presented 4 art shows, and coordinated 7 exhibitions at a Chashama Gallery in Queens, and represents 10 artists. She is a curatorial apprentice of Lawrence Joyner at Reconstruct Art. Her main area of investigation is art and culture in Africa and African Diaspora. Lucia is a practitioner of Capoeira Angola, a danced martial art. Some of her interests include culture, community and economic development. She strives to serve humanity through her talents, genuine contribution, and selfless service for a better world.
